George (“Zeus”)

About Us

George’s journey into woodworking started early. Raised around the steady hands and quiet discipline of two self-taught carpenter grandfathers, he learned to respect the craft long before he ever held a tool himself. By 16, he had begun his carpentry apprenticeship, driven by a natural curiosity and a love for building things properly.

Over the years, George trained under skilled mentors, earned his Red Seal in General Carpentry, and developed a strong foundation in construction. Still, something was missing... The creative satisfaction of making something both functional and beautiful. That search led him back to school, where he completed a furniture-making program and discovered his true calling: custom cabinetry.

In the early 2000s, George founded GTP, specializing in custom kitchens and built-in cabinetry. For more than ten years, he designed and built kitchens, closets, wall units, and bespoke pieces for homeowners who appreciated quality workmanship and honest service.

In 2011, life took George in a different direction, and he temporarily stepped away from running the business. Even during that time, his commitment to craftsmanship never faded. He went on to fully obtain his Red Seal Cabinetmaker certification, maintained his workshop, and continued to take on select projects.

Now, with renewed focus and perspective, George has re-registered GTP and returned to what he loves most—working directly with clients, designing thoughtful spaces, and building cabinetry that feels personal and enduring.

“Some people see cabinets as boxes with doors. I see proportion, balance, and possibility. When everything comes together, it becomes something you’re proud to live with every day.”

George approaches every project with care, patience, and pride. He is known for his clean job sites, clear communication, and ability to listen. Most importantly, he believes good craftsmanship should feel honest—built properly, priced fairly, and made to last.
